MODUS Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) consist of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two 26 gauge steel sheets. The foam core can either be Type 1, Type 2 or Graphite-Infused expanded polystyrene (EPS). Our SIPs are manufactured in our temperature-controlled facility under stringent quality control/quality assurance process. The result is a high-performance building component that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective.

For over twenty years, MODUS SIPs have been used in thousands of projects, resulting in durable, low maintenance and thermally efficient buildings.

MODUS can produce up to 7,000 square feet of panels per day or approximately 3,000,000 square feet per year. Panel sizes are 48 inches wide by up to 32 feet long, and from 2 inches to 14 inches thick. Our SIPs can be customized to incorporate a electrical chase, and can also be manufactured with steel column inserts to increase its structural capacity.

SIPs steel skin minimizes or eliminates most common maintenance and building degradation issues that typically affect other manufacturers over the long term. MODUS SIP solutions result in a low maintenance, 50-year building compilation with a thermally efficient envelope.

Roof panels span 24’ without the need for additional support. As the energy code becomes more stringent, MODUS SIPs will offer the only design able to meet codes without substantial additional cost. Meets NECB 2020, B.C. Step Code 4 and LEED Silver with no additional redesign or cost.

EPS is also completely resistant to rodent, rot, mildew, mold and bacterial growth, making it a perfect component to building in any location or environment. Our SIPs are CFC and HCFC free. EPS does not off-gas nor does it hold a flame.

EPS insulation is a rigid, chemically inert product that doesn’t gap or sag like traditional batt insulation, thus providing a fixed R-value. We can achieve up to an R56 value, ideally suited for a Northern climate. This translates to high occupant comfort at lower costs.
